Welcome to Grimoire (operated by Play Grimoire, accessible at playgrimoire.games). By creating an account or using this service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Grimoire. Users under 18 should have parental consent. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate registration information, including a valid email address.
Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Grimoire offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly.
Subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Prices are subject to change with 30 days’ notice.

4. AI-Generated Content

Grimoire uses artificial intelligence to generate narrative content, images, and voices during gameplay.
AI-generated content is provided “as is” and may be unpredictable, incorrect, or inconsistent.
Grimoire is not responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, or completeness of AI-generated content.
You acknowledge that content is generated in real time and may occasionally reflect errors or unexpected themes.

5. Chronicles, Intellectual Property, and Publishing

You retain rights to the unique narrative content generated during your personal play sessions (“Chronicles”).
By using the service, you grant Grimoire a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and improve the service using anonymized session data.
Grimoire retains all rights to its platform, software, scenarios, narrator personalities, and brand assets.
The 250+ pre-built scenarios and their titles are proprietary content of Play Grimoire and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.
If you export or publish a Chronicle (PDF, print-on-demand, etc.), you are responsible for ensuring the content does not infringe third-party rights. AI-generated imagery and text may carry ambiguous copyright status — consult an attorney before commercial publication.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Grimoire to:

Generate or distribute unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or obscene content.
Attempt to circumvent tier restrictions, access other users’ accounts, or reverse-engineer the platform.
Use automated tools or bots to interact with the service.
Resell or redistribute access to the platform.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Grimoire is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Play Grimoire shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users via email of material changes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
